Radosław Kowalski is a professor in the
discipline of food technology and human nutrition (chemistry and food
analysis). He is currently employed at the Department of Food Analysis at the
University of Life Sciences in Lublin. He was graduated in chemistry from Maria
Curie-Skłodowska University (1997), got PhD in horticulture from the University
of Life Sciences in Lublin (2001) and habilitation in food technology from the
University of Life Sciences in Lublin (2010). In addition, in the years 2013-14
he was employed as an associate professor at the Institute of Agrophysics
Polish Academy of Sciences in Lublin. In his scientific work he undertakes
issues related to the use of instrumental techniques in the analysis and
evaluation of the quality of food and herbal medicinal products. The main
research topic of Professor Kowalski is the analysis of the composition of
essential oils and research on the possibility of using volatile plant
components for various purposes.
